Solitude… how do you truly define it? Is it a sense of place, point in time, ‘getting away from it all’ or… Generally speaking, solitude tends to be that point figuratively, physically, or more likely imaginatively where we seek out ‘our happy place’ to retreat from all of the distractions of the ‘modern world’. If this is true then, perhaps solitude can (and does) take on any number of forms, persuasions, locations, etc. I think you will see in this collection various visual forms of solitude. Some may be surprising, but when you do look down that long track into the distance – perhaps you might catch a glimpse that will give you fresh ideas for new and greater horizons.
