Virginia Beach's highest elevation is the man-made mountain known as "Mt. Trashmore". This popular city park is well known for family recreation - from kite flying to roller skating, RC-boats, and many other forms of outdoor recreation. Come evening time, especially on the 4th of July, "the mountain" gives a run to the nearby Virginia Beach Amphitheater on which site can have the most people on a hill at one time. My money is on Mount Trashmore... Although the angle of the fireworks didn't play out quite the way it was intended to, these views are still pretty decent. Thanks to the wonderful folks at DuPont's Training Division for allowing access to their lake-side view to take these pictures.
